• Color our World with Piedmont Wildlife Center at JS Waters School

  Animals come in all different colors and patterns; some can even change colors and patterns! What is the reason behind this? Why does a snake look different than a salamander? Together we will discover why different species have different patterns and colors and how incredible they are!

  Families with children of all ages are invited to join educators from Piedmont Wildlife Center for fun activities and meet the PWC reptiles and mammals!

  This event will take place in the JS Waters Multipurpose Room, 55 JS Waters School Road, Goldston, NC 27252.

  No registration required. Free and open to the public.

  Join us for a fun craft session on reusable art with The Scrap Exchange!

  The Scrap Exchange, a nonprofit organization that promotes creativity, environmental awareness & community since 1991 will lead the program.  During the session, The Scrap Exchange volunteers will talk to participants on creative reuse and how they can turn almost any household recyclable into a unique art project.

  During the craft session, participants will have leeway to be as creative as possible. Materials such as; pool noodles, Film rolls, colorful caps and tops, twist ties, corks, pipettes, etc. will be provided.

  This event will take place outside in the picnic area. Free and open to the public. No registration necessary.
